Welcome to Dalmar Blue

Your partner for bringing Sardinian and Mediterranean wines to international markets

Frequently Asked Questions

A few answers about who we are, what we do, and how we work with producers, buyers and partners.

Dalmar Blue is a consulting and business development team based in Sardinia. We help selected wine producers approach international markets through positioning, commercial introductions, market access support and relationship-building with qualified buyers, importers, distributors and hospitality operators.

No. Dalmar Blue is not a traditional importer, distributor or online wine catalogue. We work as consultants and commercial development partners, helping producers and international operators understand whether there is a real fit and how a business relationship can be built properly.

Dalmar brings together the initials and identities behind the founding team, while also suggesting the idea of a route between markets, cultures and relationships. Blue refers to Sardinia’s identity as one of the world’s Blue Zones, places associated with centenarians, longevity, health and wellbeing. At the same time, Dalmar Blue echoes the Italian expression “dal mare blu” — from the blue sea — evoking the Mediterranean origin of Sardinian wines and the island culture they come from.

Sardinia is our natural starting point. It is one of the world’s Blue Zones and offers a rare combination of ancient wine culture, Mediterranean identity, native grape varieties and a powerful story of longevity that international markets can understand and value. Our main focus is Sardinian wine, but we may also work with selected producers from other Mediterranean regions when their wines, their story and their commercial potential are consistent with Dalmar Blue’s standards and positioning.

It all starts with a conversation. With buyers, we clarify the wine profile they are looking for, price range, volumes, market requirements and positioning needs. With producers, we assess the wines, the story, export readiness and the potential alignment with the markets and relationships we are developing.
